Welcome to LisbonCleaners.com (“we”, “our”, “the Platform”). By accessing or using our website, services, and platform, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the Platform.

1. Platform Overview

LisbonCleaners.com is a digital platform that connects customers seeking cleaning services with independent, self-employed cleaning professionals (“Cleaners”) who are legally authorized to work in Portugal. We do not employ the Cleaners directly but act as an intermediary to facilitate bookings, communications, and payments.

2. User Eligibility

2.1. For Customers:

Must be 18 years or older.
Must provide accurate and complete information when booking services.

2.2. For Cleaners:

Must be 18 years or older.
Must provide valid proof of legal work authorization in Portugal (e.g., Self-Activity Authorization).
Must provide a police clearance certificate, finance and social security documents, and proof of address.
Must comply with all Portuguese and EU labor, tax, and health & safety regulations.

3. Nature of the Relationship

LisbonCleaners.com is not the employer of the Cleaners. All Cleaners operate as independent contractors or self-employed professionals under Portuguese law. The platform does not control the manner or means by which Cleaners deliver their services.

Customers acknowledge that any service booked through the platform is a contract between the Customer and the Cleaner, and LisbonCleaners.com is not responsible for the actions, conduct, or performance of either party.

4. Bookings and Payments

All bookings must be made via the Platform.

Payments are processed securely through third-party providers.

LisbonCleaners.com may charge a service fee for using the platform.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations by Customers must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Cancellations by Cleaners must be communicated as early as possible.

Refunds may be issued at the sole discretion of LisbonCleaners.com based on case-by-case evaluation.

6. Customer Responsibilities

Provide accurate information about the property and scope of work.

Ensure a safe and respectful working environment for the Cleaner.

Refrain from discrimination or inappropriate conduct.

7. Cleaner Responsibilities

Arrive on time and complete services as agreed.

Maintain a professional demeanor.

Use eco-friendly and safe cleaning products where possible.

Handle customer property with care.

8. Insurance & Liability

Cleaners are responsible for obtaining their own liability insurance as required under Portuguese law.

LisbonCleaners.com is not liable for damages, losses, injuries, or accidents that occur during service delivery.

9. Data Protection & GDPR Compliance

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal data collected from both Customers and Cleaners will be processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently. For more details, refer to our Privacy Policy.

10. Prohibited Activities

Users of the Platform may not:

Misuse or manipulate the platform.

Circumvent the booking or payment system.

Use the service for unlawful purposes.

Harass or exploit other users.

11. Amendments to the Terms

LisbonCleaners.com reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.
