Business Research & Innovation Nest — the innovation lab where the CUBES paperless-office project was innovated, designed and developed.
The idea of CUBES was innovated, designed and developed at BRAIN — The Innovation Lab.
It was observed that businesses spend millions of rupees and man-hours just to manage paper-driven, information-overloaded processes. It was also realized that paper is an expensive, inefficient and less secure way to manage information — and that paper documents and filing cabinets have been the way to organize information within business. On the contrary, globally, businesses are transitioning from physical documents to electronic document management systems.
It was well understood that going paperless with information management systems is a necessity if we are going to compete in the modern business world and still have a life outside the office. Finally, a team of WIRES (innovation lab team members) were advised to start a project called “CUBES” — Computerized Undertaking of Benefited E-paper Services.
After launching CUBES, much less effort is needed now to ensure we stay paperless, and to be able to rest on our laurels for a bit.
We can see a number of benefits in our organization and in life outside of work after CUBES. With savings in time and cost, as well as increased document security and data backup, our employees, our internal customers and stakeholders, and our business as a whole are benefited from making the switch to a paperless office. After all, our main goal as a company is to improve our life by reducing stress at work.
CUBES has brought our business document overload under control, and we have already started becoming a better, more efficient company with time to live life.
